Shorenex / Lumen & Grain Studio

Photography and film for products that have to look expensive.

Lumen & Grain is the studio of Shorenex. We shoot product, lifestyle and brand film from Beijing — for Australian labels that sell on their own store and cannot afford to look like everyone else.

What you can book

02 / 05
Still life
One studio day · white background, no model
  • Jewellery, accessories, small objects
  • Shot list agreed before the day
  • Retouching in two grades: base and hero
  • Web-optimised exports, sized for your store
Model day
One studio day · commercial model, hair and make-up included
  • Creative direction and set design
  • Open-shade and on-figure frames from one session
  • Hero retouching on the images you will run as ads
  • Two rounds of revisions included
Campaign
Two studio days · model, styling, sets, motion
  • Season-level art direction, not just a shot list
  • Stills and short-form video from one production
  • Cutdowns for Meta, TikTok and Google
  • Extended licence available on the same quote

We quote per project rather than publish a rate card. A still-life day and a full campaign differ by more than an order of magnitude, and a published number only anchors the wrong conversation. Send a brief — you get an itemised, fixed quote within two working days.

Where the images can be used

03 / 05
BasicStore and organic social, one year, portrait rights included. Part of every booking.
Paid mediaMeta, TikTok and Google placement, with cutdowns and a two-year portrait term. Quoted as an addition.
BuyoutAll channels, perpetual, transferable, copyright assigned. For brands that resell or re-licence assets.

Usage is the line most quotes leave vague until it becomes a problem. We put it on the page separately so you can see exactly what you are buying.

Cinematography

Commercial photographer, Beijing Film Academy

Lighting and camera for product and lifestyle work. The reason a ring reads as metal and a petal reads as soft — not a filter applied afterwards.

We put names, schools and downloaded documents on this page on purpose. “Experienced team” is a phrase anyone can write; a CV is something a client can check.

Before you brief us

FAQ
Do we have to ship our product to China?

Usually yes — a courier takes 4–6 days from Australia. For bulky or fragile items we can source a sample locally, or shoot with a supplied unit if you already have one in China.

Can you shoot in Australia?

Yes, for larger projects we travel. Travel and accommodation are quoted separately, and we will tell you honestly when a local crew is the cheaper answer.

Who owns the footage?

You do on final payment. Raw files and project files are handed over on request. We ask permission before showing the work in our portfolio — never assume it.

How many rounds of changes?

Two rounds of retouching or edit notes are included. After that we bill hourly, quoted before we start.
